Model United Nations
Model United Nations occurs once each semester. These conferences involve students from local and international schools from around the world who spend four days participating in a mock session of the United Nations. A limited number of NJC students are chosen each semester to participate, and they are assigned countries to research and then represent at the conference. Visiting speakers, including local politicians and diplomats, address the students on the real problems facing international government. Normally NJC attends a Model UN conference in Berlin, Munich or Leiden in the Fall semester and in St. Petersburg in the Spring.
