International Service

NJC offers students the option of participating in international service projects with NGO partners like Habitat for Humanity. In doing so, our students gain a deeper understanding of social justice issues, develop greater empathy for people living in difficult circumstance and become mindful of their ability to make a compassionate difference in the world.
As a result, our students:
  • gain a deeper understanding of social justice issues
  • develop greater empathy for people living in difficult circumstances
  • become mindful of their ability to make a compassionate difference

I think that my time at NJC opened my eyes to so much I wasn't aware of before and inspired me to try to learn more about the problems our world is facing. Having the world be my classroom made everything feel so much more real and helped me realize how insignificant some things I used to worry about are.
